Reduce data usage on computer

Hello! This is going to be a wonderful thing for all of you who browse the net either on a laptop or a desktop. You need either Firefox, Chrome or Safari browser as your usual browser (so, most of you are kept care of!). So, how do I reduce data usage?

Firefox
Download the User Agent Switcher add-on and install it from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/user-agent-switcher/ . Now right-click on empty space around address bar and click Customize. Scroll through the list of different icons and you will find a Default User Agent icon like this:

firefox-user-agent-icon

Drag the icon to anywhere beside the address bar. Now click this circle button. Select User Agent Switcher-> Options. Click New->New User Agent as shown here:

firefox-user-agent-1
A window like this will open.

firefox-user-agent-2
Now clear all fields and enter WAP in Description box. In User Agent box, enter this:

Nokia6630/1.0 (2.3.129) SymbianOS/8.0 Series60/2.6 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1

Click OK. Close the previously opened box. Now click circle button and select WAP.

You are done. Now surf normally.

To change back to normal, select Default User Agent instead of WAP.

Chrome
Open menu on toolbar.

chrome-menu

Now select Tools-> Developer Tools. You will see a window like this:

chrome-dev-mode

Now click Settings icon. You will see something like this:

chrome-user-agent

Now select Overrides tab and enable User Agent. Select Other in dropdown list. Enter this in text field:

Nokia6630/1.0 (2.3.129) SymbianOS/8.0 Series60/2.6 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1

Close Developer Window by clicking on grey X on top corner of small window.

You are done. Now surf normally.

To change back to normal, disable User Agent by unchecking box.

Safari
Click Settings gear icon. Click Preferences.

safari-settings
Click Show Develop Menu.

safari-enable-dev-mode

Now in toolbar click Develop->User Agent->Other and enter this in User Agent text field:

Nokia6630/1.0 (2.3.129) SymbianOS/8.0 Series60/2.6 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1

And give the profile a name like WAP.
To undo the setting, select Default in list.

Now you can surf while saving up to 90% on data usage
